The Correfoc

The Manresa Correfoc, which is held during the last weekend in August, is one of the biggest organised in Catalonia. The quantity of fire and the long route through the old quarter make it a festival not to be missed by lovers of fire and excitement. For a few hours the city is literally taken by the loud noise of the bangers and rockets.
The Correfoc is also a spectacle of great visual beauty, with its own imagery, recovering and reinventing tradition: traditional devils (Capgirells, Fogueres and Moixigants) beasts (La Víbria, La Mulassa, El Bou de Foc, El Nas de Sutja, El Coll-llarg and El Boc).
