L'Agulla Park
The lake dam was built in 1966 and came into service in 1974, after being completely covered with concrete slabs. The lake measures 64,000m2 and has a capacity of 200,000m3, ensuring more than a week's reserves for Manresa.
L'Agulla lake's main functions are: to provide a reserve of water in case something goes wrong with the canal or for if there are works, daily regulation of consumption, achieved by emptying it at night and filling it during the day, and the safe use of water. The lake is directly linked by a pipeline to the Dipòsits Nous treatment works. Now the lake-reserve is surrounded by a park with six hundred and twenty-eight trees of twenty different species. In addition, some water-related sporting activities can be practised there.
