Montaña de Montserrat (Cataluña)
La montaña de Montserrat (Cataluña) y el monasterio benedictino de Montserrat, fundado en el siglo XI, está situado en un Parque Natural 60 km al oeste de Barcelona. La patrona de Cataluña, Santa Maria de Montserrat, es venerada en el Santuario. La comunidad benedictina formada unos ochenta monjes, está al servicio del santuario desde casi mil años. Se dedica a la oración, al trabajo de investigación y enseñanza a acogert peregrinos haciendo de este lugar un lugar de encuentro, oración y cultura.
En Montserrat también vive la Escolanía, el coro de niños Cantores más antiguo de Europa, que ofrecen cada día la Salve y el Virolai y un motete después de las vísperasmotet tras las vísperas.

Obras de artistas como Picasso, Dalí, Monet, Sisley, Degas y otros como Berruguete, Morales, el Greco, Caravaggio, Luca Giordano i Tiepolo.

The mountain of Montserrat and the Benedictine monastery of Montserrat, founded in the eleventh century, is located in a natural reserve 60 km west of Barcelona. Santa Maria de Montserrat, patron saint of Catalonia,is venerated at the shrine. The Benedictine community made up of about 80 monks have been at the service of the shrine for almost a thousand years. They are focused mainly on praying, research work and teaching, and giving shelter to pilgrims making this place a place of reuinion, prayer and culture.
In addition to the monks, there is the Choir School, the oldest choir of boys in Europe, which offer daily the Salve Virolai.
